Norwich Regional Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate and engaged Veterinary Assistant to join our small but mighty team part-time.
We are a one-vet small animal general practice with a diverse clientele. We balance our schedule so not only are we never double booked but we have room to see urgent cases (both our clients and others). We have two exam rooms, a treatment room, lab, surgery suite and Xray. We are open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
This is a place where we are truly a team. Collaboration is the name of the game and we make sure that all staff get what they need while also taking care of clients. The education and lived experiences of each one of us is valued and listened to from our cat-savvy receptionist to our dog sport competitor vet assistant. Every day is a new set of clients and a new adventure where you can dig into your vet tech knowledge without feeling overwhelmed. We value new skills and support a wide variety of continuing education opportunities – not just the usual lunch and learns!
For the health of our patients and the sanity of our staff, we’re looking for the right person to round out the team—and we’re willing to take our time to find the right fit. We want whoever we add to the mix to be happy here for a long time.
You are an experienced assistant who is looking for a better relationship with vet med. You want to be part of a medical team where your skills and experience is not only appreciated but is a vital part of our collaborative process. You enjoy both the wild hectic days and the quiet times monitoring a patient in recovery. You want to work at a practice where you can use the depth of your education and experience every day to provide excellent care.

I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees! These resources vary from continuing education to the importance of mental health and not burning out. Stonebridge has been one of the best places I have worked and has done nothing but help me pursue my goal of becoming an LVT.
There are programs including VetLife Days and Lend-a-Hand that allow you to spend time at other clinics. I have met some wonderful colleagues this way and have also been able to expand my leadership skills within Vetcor. I actually learned that I love teaching and supporting other veterinarians, especially new graduates. I love soft tissue surgery, so to be able to pass on that knowledge and skill set to new grads, giving them the confidence and skills they need to excel, has been very rewarding. It has been an amazing journey with Vetcor so far and I am excited to continue to be part of this amazing group.
The mentorship and advice from the Vetcor Chief of Staff Advisors have helped me become a better veterinarian and surgeon. They have filled me with confidence in order to become a better leader. Vetcor has been a great corporation to work for.
There is a career path for everybody and not a one size fits all approach.
Join a group of motivated veterinary professionals while taking advantage of employee programs, resources, and fantastic benefits. Join one of our many collaboration groups for Hospital Managers, Techs, and Vets! Plus, we love supporting growth in your teams' desired career paths. Gain access to mentorship at all levels, continuing education, wellness resources, and more!
